Unmanned control system for air compressor

System Introduction

The main task of an air compressor is to provide sufficient compressed air to drive pneumatic picks, drills, and other pneumatic tools. Due to the continuous operation of the air compressor, while the gas equipment operates intermittently and intermittently, in order to ensure stable gas supply from the gas supply equipment, the air compressor needs to operate continuously. Generally, multiple air compressors are used in parallel, which increases the power consumption and maintenance costs of the air compressors, leading to energy waste. At the same time, excessive air pressure can easily cause pipeline damage, posing great safety hazards. The automatic control system of the air compressor ensures stable gas supply to the equipment and ensures the safe operation of on-site equipment, gas pipelines, and personnel.
The system uses PLC as the control core, realizing various functions such as parameter acquisition, data processing, data uploading, fault alarm, automatic control, etc. It also realizes unmanned operation of coal mine air compressors, laying a good foundation for realizing smart mines.

System Architecture

The system mainly consists of an industrial control computer, upper computer configuration software, PLC control box, sensors, and video surveillance devices.


System Function

The system has the function of monitoring the operating parameters of the air compressor, including cylinder pressure, cylinder temperature at all levels, cooling water temperature at all levels, lubricating oil temperature, exhaust pressure, exhaust temperature, bearing shaft temperature, vibration, motor current, voltage, active power, reactive power, power factor and other parameters, as well as the working status of the compressor such as start/stop, loading/unloading.
The system has single machine local control, single machine remote control, centralized control, and determines the number of air compressors to be operated according to work needs. The system has the function of local/centralized control selection, which can achieve unmanned control of equipment.
The system has a fully automatic constant pressure air supply function.
The system has the automatic control function of the air bag discharge valve.
The system has protection functions such as water and oil cut-off, overheating, overpressure, and filter blockage for the air compressor. The system has the function of recording and querying trend curves such as pressure curve and temperature curve of the fan. The system has the function of setting alarm upper and lower limits.
The system has a historical data query function, which can query and summarize historical start stop records, historical alarm and fault event records, user operation records, setting records, historical operating condition parameters, motor historical operating electrical parameters, etc.
The system has a hierarchical user management function.
The system has network functionality and provides communication ports for digital information platforms to achieve data sharing.

System Features

The system automatically starts and stops the number of air compressors based on the peak and low periods of gas consumption, adjusts the gas supply reasonably, meets the needs of gas equipment, and significantly improves the energy-saving effect.
The system implements information management of equipment to ensure optimal operation, improve operational efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs. The air compressor achieves unmanned and fully automated operation.
The PLC master station can communicate data with the PLC on the operation panel of each compressor to achieve linkage control.
The system has the function of operating the distribution cabinets of various pressure fans such as the incoming cabinet, and can monitor the current and voltage on each switch cabinet. Easy to operate and easy to learn, all operations can be completed with a mouse. Non professionals can become proficient in operating this system through short-term training.
Real time simulation animation monitors the internal/external operating status of the compressor room, displaying the operating parameters and trends of the compressor through various methods such as charts and curves.
All products are designed with industrial grade, strong anti-interference ability, and meet the requirements of on-site industrial environment use. Open protocol interface that can be connected to the mine industrial Ethernet to achieve data sharing and remote operation.
